Credit infrastructure for borrowers outside the bureau

Supersymm was founded in Sao Paulo in 2023 to address a problem: 35 million Brazilian adults are financially active but invisible to credit bureaus.

Brazil, expanding in Latin America

Focus

AI scoring for thin-file and no-file borrowers

Our Story

The gap was infrastructure, not responsibility.

Brazil has one of Latin America's most sophisticated credit bureau systems. Yet roughly 35 million adults have no meaningful bureau file. They are not irresponsible with money. They pay utilities, manage mobile accounts, and transfer funds reliably each month. They simply have not used a credit product that creates a file.

Supersymm's founders worked across financial inclusion research and credit risk modeling. One point kept returning: behavioral data that could predict repayment already existed and was being generated. What was missing was infrastructure to turn it into a score.

Supersymm was incorporated in Sao Paulo in 2023. Its first scoring engine was built and tested with design-partner lenders in Brazil in 2024. In 2025, the API opened to lenders beyond that initial program.

The Team

People behind the product

Antonio Brito

Antonio Brito

Co-founder and CEO

Before founding Supersymm, built consumer credit products at a mid-size Brazilian fintech. Research into the rejection of thin-file applicants despite reliable rent and utility payments became the product's founding hypothesis. Leads business development, lender partnerships, and product direction.

Rohan Desai

Rohan Desai

Co-founder and CTO

Joined Supersymm from a machine learning role at a financial data company, where he worked on alternative credit signals for emerging market portfolios. Leads scoring engine architecture, API infrastructure, and data pipeline design. Built the original feature extraction pipeline behind the current system.

Lucas Ferreira

Lucas Ferreira

Head of Data Science

Worked on credit model development before joining Supersymm as its third full-time hire. Leads validation, fairness testing, and signal research. Ensures scores do not create systematic disparities across demographic groups. Treats this as active research, not a compliance footnote.

Funding

Angel-backed, focused on early traction

Supersymm closed a $250,000 angel round in June 2025 to build the production API and fund its first design-partner lender pilots. Angels with backgrounds in Latin American fintech and consumer credit infrastructure led the round.

At this stage, Supersymm is testing the model with a small group of committed design-partner lenders, rather than pursuing scale for its own sake. We want to work with lenders ready to join early, shape the product, and test the methodology with real borrower populations.
